Beans for breakfast?

Postby awoods92 » January 5th, 2011, 10:55 am

Is there an alternative for beans during breakfast? Or do we just have to suck it up and eat it cuz its the best option?

I thought Tim said in the book that eggs and vegetables were fine for breakfast.

Are you saying just eat beans for breakfast or that you just don't like adding beans to other things?

I often have left overs from my previous nights dinner. This could be chili, tuna, whatever. Just make sure you get your 30grams of protein.

I've been doing lentils with my eggs as well lately.

If you want to get korean, you can eat your eggs with some kimchi! :)

Just had my breakfast and it was so tasty I had to share. 2 scramble eggs with one green onion, 1/2 cup green lentils, and about 1/4 fire roasted pepper salsa. Yum!

No beans! :)

I can find it in the book if you'd like, but Tim says that he tried mixing sauerkraut/kimchi with his eggs and it's disgusting.

edit: Footnote on p. 512 - "Don't put the sauerkraut or kimchi in the eggs. I tried it and it's horrific."

Eh, that's just because he's not Korean. ;) I'm going to ask my Korean friend how they usually do it. I suspect it's hard boiled eggs and cold kimchi. When I did mine, I heated the kimchi too, and it wasn't as tasty as I would have liked.
