Diet for Strength Gains?

Postby EtherGK » April 29th, 2011, 10:21 pm

In the Superhuman part, what kind of diet should I worry about? Is it unimportant? Should I just do the Slow Carb Diet? Or eat like I'm trying to gain mass?

Thanks

I'm doing 5x5 workouts made by http://www.stronglifts.com and I eat a low carb diet with about 50g carbs per day and a larger cheat meal on saturdays. I'm doing good and really got stronger with this combination.

You can see my results at http://activecouchpotato.com/5x5-workout/.

The right diet is important if you want to gain strength. But I think most people can get aways with just eating clean. Don't eat junk food, don't eat many sweets, don't overeat every single day.
Everything is true all the time, unless it is nil or false.

2 things you need if you goal is strength. High protein intake and to quickly restore muscle glycogen after a workout.

I can't find any links to cite about this but I will keep looking and post them here. Blayne might have more insight into this as he seems to have been into strength as well.

This link is great for talking about pre & post-workout nutrition whether your goal is to lose fat or gain muscle. Check it out and it might help answer your question.
