Using Barefoot shoes for barefoot running

Postby pablowilks » November 13th, 2014, 9:24 am

In 4HB Tim talks about how when he started his interval 400m training he suffered slight hamstring pulls.

I too have this issue and want to give barefoot running on grass a try. Somthing Tim recommends in the book to help prevent them.

Problem is, its way too cold right now for barefoot running.

So, I was wondering if using barefoot shoes instead would suffice?

Would love to hear from anyone who has used these? And if they are an apt substitute for running bare foot.

Mnay thanks

Hi
I got fitted for new running shoes with a custom insole so wondering can I wear them to gym and for walking or just keep them for my runs.

Using Barefoot shoes for barefoot running

Unless youve been living barefoot for a while youre probably going to need shoes for some of the time. I like to do both. A little barefoot running on grass is great. Most advise you to build up slowly. You could try running for a minute, rest a bit, run another minute. Even this will be too much for some people so try it first Dont go out for a 15 minute barefoot run
